Have you ever found yourself in the gym wondering why you are there and not out enjoying life? If so, you wouldn't be the first. I was once in the same place. Working out with no purpose.
Dragging to the gym because I didn't want to be there. But I felt guilty if I didn’t workout.
Thinking to myself, why am I even here?
When I jumped into the fitness industry and started seeing the positive impact I could make on people's lives it gave me a sense of entitlement.
My workouts for myself were no longer just workouts. I began to train with purpose to achieve a better body, a strong body and live a lifestyle of having confidence in my appearance and abilities.
So what do you need to do to get in the zone when you’re working out at the gym?
- Find your why/ purpose this is going to be your motivation. For me, I do it for you all. To motivate, better my craft with experience and education to know what my clients are feeling and going through.
- Do it for more than just yourself. Maybe for a charity, your mentees, your husband or wife, children, etc.
- Be strategic. Reaching your best body isn’t about just working your ass off. You also have to plan ahead, be organized with your time, and have an effective plan or blueprint to ensure you’ll reach your goal within a specific time frame. Otherwise the pressure of not having a time frame to achieve your goal won’t make you take massive action.
- Reward yourself for accomplishing your short and long term goals.
- Don't QUIT!
Working out is for people that don’t have a driving purpose to better themselves. Training in for people with intentions of bettering themselves and others.
Stop working out and start training!
